The European Union deputy head of Mission in South Sudan Amb. Luther Jashke says Data Collected in different Countries through their mission on racial discrimination is not promising. Saying the increase has hit 35% which is unprecedented percentage, and it is very alarming.
The European Official was speaking exclusively to Favor FM as the Globe Commemorates international day for the elimination of the racial discrimination celebrated annually.
Speaking on the Building Bridge Radio Program earlier today, the European Diplomat urges South Sudanese Politicians and all the influential figures in the Society including Journalists, to be mindful of what they communicate, saying with the rising percentage of racial discrimination Human Rights Protection is at stake, and this requires Common efforts to eradicate.
For her part the State Minister of Health in Jonglei, Gihan Mecheck Deng says racial discrimination is a new thing to South Sudan, and as Multi ethnic Nation there is a need to develop Laws that help in mitigating such abuses.
Speaking as a health official Gihan reveals her Ministry Plan to introduce Trauma Healing Project to remedy the broken hearts of People who went through Racial, or Tribal discrimination. The two officials emphasizes on the role of education as a key to creating awareness most importantly among the youth who should be aware of their Identity as Human race before being affiliated to their Tribes, citing elimination of what he terms as imposed superiority, and negative Nationalism.
Meanwhile the listeners who contributed to the program through the phone calls emphasized on the absent of Love as the Root Cause of all the discrimination that people are facing South Sudan.
